Laura Day Webb

Currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Art Business at Sotheby’s Institute of Art in New York City, Laura Day Webb is newcube’s Brand & Partnerships Lead. She made her foray into the art world as Co-Founder of La Doyenne, a demi-couture womenswear line at the crossroads between art, fashion, and technology. It is this experience that prompted her to pivot her career fully into the art world and led her to join newcube in early 2021. In her role at newcube, Laura fosters and develops meaningful partnerships with key players in the art world, with the goal of expanding the brand’s exposure and relationships. Alongside newcube, Laura continues to pursue her passion for supporting early career artists through various curatorial projects including “The Art of Resilience”, held at NYC’s High Line Nine in September 2021 and featuring works by eight contemporary Kenyan and British artists. The exhibition examined the interplay between art, community, and conservation through the eyes of the community surrounding Lewa Wildlife Conservancy in Northern Kenya, as well as the tangible shift in environment wrought by the pandemic. A portion of the

proceeds from the sale of the works benefitted Lewa, a non-profit UNESCO World Heritage site.
